The matching solid perfumes
Several candle scents are also made as a solid perfume in a tin — the same blend, worn rather than burned. They are vegan, and they travel in a way liquid perfume does not.
They move in and out of stock more than the candles do, so if the scent you want is not showing, the candle is the way to try the blend first.
Getting a candle to burn evenly
The first burn sets the pattern for every burn after it. Leave it lit until the melted wax reaches the edge of the vessel — usually two to three hours — or the candle will tunnel down the middle and waste the wax around the sides.
Trim the wick to about 5 mm each time before lighting. A long wick is what causes smoking and an uneven flame.
