Nelson Naturals
Nelson Naturals make toothpaste that comes in a glass jar rather than a tube — you dip a wet brush straight into it — alongside their Crush & Brush toothpaste tablets and Crush & Swish mouthwash tablets.
Everything here is vegan, cruelty-free and made in Canada.
More about Nelson Naturals
Three different formats, one brand
| Format | How it works |
|---|---|
| Jar toothpaste | Dip a wet brush in and brush. Glass jar, no tube |
| Moringa powder | The powdered version of the same idea |
| Crush & Brush tablets | Chew one, brush with a wet brush |
| Crush & Swish tablets | Mouthwash as a tablet — chew, swish, spit |
Dipping a brush in a shared jar
The jar format is the thing people hesitate over, and reasonably so. If the jar is used by one person, dipping a wet brush is fine. If a household is sharing one, use a small spoon or spatula to lift a portion onto each brush rather than everyone dipping into the same jar.
Keep the lid on and the jar dry on the outside, and it lasts as long as a tube would.
The Crush & Brush tablets
These are the same tablets that anchor our toothpaste tablets collection. Beyond mint and mint charcoal there is a run of soda-inspired flavours — Tangerine Dream, Grape Soda and Rootbeer Float — which are aimed squarely at getting children to brush without an argument.
Being a solid, they travel without leaking and do not count against carry-on liquid limits.
A note on stock
Several of the jar toothpaste flavours are out at the moment while the tablets are in. If a flavour you want is showing as sold out, it is generally between deliveries rather than gone — but the tablets are the reliably available part of this range right now.
