Which HiBAR shampoo is right for my hair?

Do I need the matching conditioner?
You do not have to buy the pair, but the bars are formulated together — the conditioner is built to finish what its shampoo starts, and mixing lines is where most people find a bar routine underwhelming.
If you are switching from bottles and unsure, the shampoo sampler and conditioner sampler let you work through several bars before committing to full sizes.
Why a bar instead of a bottle?
A liquid shampoo is mostly water, so a bottle is largely packaging and freight. A bar is the concentrate on its own, which is why it arrives in a paper wrap instead of a plastic bottle with a pump.
HiBAR's bars are soap-free and pH-balanced rather than true soap, which matters for hair: traditional soap leaves hair rough and squeaky, which is what gives some bar shampoos their reputation.
How do I actually use one?
Wet your hair, rub the bar directly along your scalp a few times — not on the ends — then put the bar down and work the lather through with your fingers as usual. Rinse, then do the same with the conditioner bar on the lengths.
Let the bar dry between washes. A draining dish or the bamboo shower lift keeps it out of standing water, which is what makes a bar turn soft and disappear early.
